We stayed for 5 nights in December and had a quad room for myself my husband and two adolescent boys along with a double room for my daughter and my mum.The rooms are squeezy but clean and most adequate. There are lots of stairs and no lift (a very common thing in B & B’s in London.) Breakfast is a little boring but satisfactory. Bobby and the staff were always helpful and informative and my elderly mum’s room was on the lower floor which Bobby organised without me asking. This is an old worldy, quirky, place which is highly recommended for excellent value. The real plus is the location. Plenty of great restaurants around (San Marco’s up the road is brilliant!!) and the pub on the corner – The Victoria is well worth a visit. Paddington Station is close by where we caught the train to Bath (wheeling our bags to the station) as well as using the metro all the time. We caught a bus to Madame Tussauds and Baker Street – quite close. Hyde Park is also close (we went to the fabulous Winter Wonderland there) Winter in London is fantastic – the lights are magical. It felt safe walking around at night which we did alot (as it was dark by 4pm.)
