Ideally situated near to Hyde Park, Paddington Station and Tube. This is a budget hotel but found it to be excellent in all respects. Bedding clean, flat screen TV, lovely breakfast and friendly staff. Was at the front of the hotel so was expecting a lot of noise from the street but found it to be very quiet. Will recommend to family and friends

Great location
Absolutely delighted with this Hotel. Altough the room was at the very top without a lift, we were aware of this before we booked. Very clean, new shower room, nice and warm and a full English breakfast with cereals, juice etc. Helpful staff who offered to take our cases to the room and gave good advice regarding parking and travel. Was very impressed with the whole experience as the rates were so reasonable we did not expect such a lovely room. Will definitely stay again.

Perfect
I stayed in this hotel for 5 days in December for my first Christmas-time visit to London. The hotel was a very easy walk from Paddington station. I stayed in a double ensuite & the room was small by US standards but normal sized for London. For a solo traveler it's the perfect size! The room was clean & the bed was very comfortable. I had a room facing the street & most of the street noise was minimal, except Friday night which got a bit loud. I'm a heavy sleeper so I was fine with this, but if you're a light sleeper a room not facing the street might be better. The owner was very friendly & helpful with directions & recommendations. There is no lift but the owner kindly offered to carry my luggage up the steps for me. The breakfast is included- from cereals up to full English as you wish - but the breakfast area which is in the basement can get full if all the rooms are full too.

Excellent stay on a budget
We stayed here for 1 night in December and it was prefect for our needs.
We stayed in a triple room and it was ideal for a base while visiting London, the shower room is small but ok, the whole room was clean and fresh, and no problem with any noise at night. Plenty of cupboard space, tea tray etc in room with nice biscuits, free wifi and comfy beds.
The breakfast was great for setting us up for the day, there was plenty of choice from cereals, toast, cooked breakfast, tea, coffee and juice.
We were also able to leave our bags at the hotel for the day on departure and collect them later so we didn't have to carry them around all day.

Ideal base
We stayed for 5 nights in December and had a quad room for myself my husband and two adolescent boys along with a double room for my daughter and my mum.The rooms are squeezy but clean and most adequate. There are lots of stairs and no lift (a very common thing in B & B's in London.) Breakfast is a little boring but satisfactory. Bobby and the staff were always helpful and informative and my elderly mum's room was on the lower floor which Bobby organised without me asking. This is an old worldy, quirky, place which is highly recommended for excellent value. The real plus is the location. Plenty of great restaurants around (San Marco's up the road is brilliant!!) and the pub on the corner - The Victoria is well worth a visit. Paddington Station is close by where we caught the train to Bath (wheeling our bags to the station) as well as using the metro all the time. We caught a bus to Madame Tussauds and Baker Street - quite close. Hyde Park is also close (we went to the fabulous Winter Wonderland there) Winter in London is fantastic - the lights are magical. It felt safe walking around at night which we did alot (as it was dark by 4pm.)
